The tribe of Benjamin, however, failed to drive out the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem. So, to this day the Jebusites live in Jerusalem among the people of Benjamin.

We live as spiritual underachievers because we think we can:

• Compromise the Lord’s commands and get away with it.
• Make a deal with devil to leave you alone if you don’t do this or will do that, or the other thing.
• Neglect living life in constant contact with Holy Spirit, obeying and walking out God’s Word.

God plans for us to experience victory after victory through constant trust, little by little… this is what builds relationship with our Commander, confidence in our faith, steadfastness in our battle, and victory under our belt.

This was a typical form of punishment in order to make them worthless in battle. Some parents actually removed thumbs and toes so that their children wouldn’t have to go to war.
