Now that the land was under Israelite control, the entire community of Israel gathered at Shiloh and set up the Tabernacle. But there remained seven tribes who had not yet been allotted their grants of land.
Joshua 18:1-2

But the tribe of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites, who lived in the city of Jerusalem, so the Jebusites live there among the people of Judah to this day.

• The land has been given.
• The tribal inheritances have been allotted.
• The Israelites have one job: obey God and keep the land set apart for Israel.
• They did not drive out.
