My Takeaways

Something Old

I couldn’t agree more!!!!!A single day in Your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of the of My God than live the good like in the homes of the wicked.
Psalm 84:10

Something New

The Hebrew word baca is related to bakah, which means “to weep.” Baca refers to a type of “weeping” tree; that is, one that drips resin or gum-like tears, such as a balsam, mulberry, or aspen tree.

We, too are on a pilgrimage to our new Jerusalem, and we will pass through the valley of Baca-weeping.

Certainties of Baca:

  • Valley: indicates a low point in life and/or circumstances.
  • When: indicates the valley of weeping is inevitable, can’t be avoided.
  • It will: indicates assurance of the refreshing we will receive.
  • Grow: indicated the valley will be a source of strength for our journey.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

Something To Do

Allow weeping to do it’s refreshing. Stay in the valley as long as you need in order to gain your strength.
