A Dream Come True

When the LORD brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!
Psalm 126:1

My Takeaways

Something Old

O disciple of Jesus, behold an emblem of thy present labour, and thy future reward. Thou ‘sowest,’ perhaps, ‘in tears;’ thou doest thy duty amidst persecution and affliction, sickness, pain, and sorrow; thou laborest in the church, and no account is made of thy labours; no profit seems to arise from them…. Yet the day is coming when thou shalt ‘reap in joy;’ and plentiful shall be thy harvest.” – Thomas Horne

  • Don’t stop dreamin’.
  • Don’t stop cryin’.
  • And from the great philosopher, Steve Perry of Journey, “Don’t stop believin’.”

Our God is the god of:

  • The Dream
Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.
    Ephesians 3:20 (TLB)
  • The Restoration
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
    1 Peter 5:10 (ESV)
  • The Harvest
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen andrelax our courage and faint.
    Galatians 6:9 (AMPC)

Something New

We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.”
Psalm 126:2

How that I would be a display of the goodness of God for onlookers and non-partakers!!“These foreigners were no dreamers; though they were only lookers-on, and not partakers in the surprising mercy, they plainly saw what had been done, and rightly ascribed it to the great Giver of all good.” – Charles Spurgeon

Something To Do

Keep dreamin’, cryin’, and believin’.
