Abraham lived for 175 years, and he died at a ripe old age, having lived a long and satisfying life. He breathed his last and joined his ancestors in death.
Genesis 25:7-8
Nothing brings a family together like a funeral. I don’t know if Abraham ever had any family reunions in the grove at Hebron. (Its sounds like a great place for large tables covered with lots of food.) A few family reunions may have helped restore the relationships between father and sons and sons and sons.
O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham?
2 Chronicles 20:7 NLT
And so, it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

James was quoting “But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend.”
