Then the LORD said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your father and grandfather and to your relatives there, and I will be with you.”

Things to do in Paddan-Aram:

• Keep talking to God, so you will recognize His voice.
• Keep obeying God, so sin won’t separate you from Him and soften His voice.
• Keep trusting God, so He will continue to lead you.
• Keep tattling on “Laban”, so the bitterness and anger won’t take root in your heart.
• Keep in place until God tells you to move to a new place.

You had little indeed before I came, but your wealth has increased enormously. The LORD has blessed you through everything I’ve done. But now, what about me? When can I start providing for my own family?
Genesis 30:30

Is asking “what about me” always considered selfish? Poor Jacob. He’s been honorable and hard-working, now he wants a life of his own.
