Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Pharaoh will demand, ‘Show me a miracle.’ When he does this, say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down in front of Pharaoh, and it will become a serpent.’”
Exodus 7:8-9
“Believers are the world’s Bibles, by studying which men may come to know the Lord Himself.” – F.B. Meyer
How do I respond when God wants to use me to introduce Himself to others?
- Like Moses, with excuses rather than enthusiasm (Exodus 3-4)
- Like Pharaoh, compromise rather than complete compliance. (Exodus 8:28)
How do I do this?
- Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV
- By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13:35 ESV
- So, go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have told you to do. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of time.
Matthew 28:19-20 ERV
- Follow God’s example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father. Be full of love for others, following the example of Christ who loved you and gave himself to God as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, for Christ’s love for you was like sweet perfume to him.
Ephesians 5:1-2 TLB
A couple things to think about:
- How has God used me to introduce Himself to others?
- Have I allowed God to use me to introduce Himself to others?
Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharaoh.
Exodus 7:7
