The LORD said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. These are the LORD’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as official days for holy assembly.”
Leviticus 23:1-2

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Be careful to celebrate the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of that same month—nine days after the Festival of Trumpets. You must observe it as an official day for holy assembly, a day to deny yourselves and present special gifts to the LORD.”
Leviticus 23:26-27

• Leviticus explains the five offerings and seven feasts.
• The Feasts of God explain the plan of God.
• When we look back through the lens of the New Testament, we can see how the prophetic elements of the feasts were fulfilled.
• The Redemptive Plan of God is portrayed for us in the feasts.
• The spring feasts are pictures of Christ’s first coming.
• Jesus was sacrificed for our sins on Passover.
• Jesus was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
• Jesus rose again on Firstfruits.
• The Holy Spirit came at the Feast of Weeks.
• Passover: salvation or deliverance from Egypt(flesh or sin).
• Unleavened Bread: God saved us that we may be holy and set apart for Him by putting off “the old self”.
• Firstfruits: the purpose of salvation; fruitfulness in the Kingdom (John 15:1-5) and putting on the “new”(Ephesians 4:24).
• Feast of Weeks/Pentecost: instructs us on the kind of fruit we must bear through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23)
• The fall feasts are a picture of His second coming and beginning of the Messianic reign.
• Colossians 2:16-17
