Next Moses presented Aaron’s sons and applied some of the blood to the lobes of their right ears, the thumbs of their right hands, and the big toes of their right feet. He then splattered the rest of the blood against all sides of the altar.

Right signifies the side of power and strength. (Jesus sits at the right hand of God. God said He would up hold the weak with His righteous right hand.)

• Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
  Hebrews 12:2 ESV

• Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
  Isaiah 41:10

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
1 Peter 2:9

Consecrate: the separation of oneself from things that are unclean, especially anything that would contaminate one’s relationship with a perfect God.

The sacrifice for our priesthood status has been made. Let’s pray for purification, and power of the Lord over our:

• Ears as we listen to God’s instructions and the Spirit’s leading
• Hands as we worship and serve
• Steps as we follow God where He leads

These are the instructions for the guilt offering. It is most holy.

Pray for the consecration of me, not just my ear, hand and toe… but all of me.
