- Take sin seriously by being aware of what offends God. This awareness comes by knowing Him through His Word.

- Recognize that sin is an offense to God
They must lay a hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered.

- Give God the weight of the sin, He’s strong enough to bear it.
Through this process, the priest will purify the people from their sin, making them right with the Lord, and they will be forgiven.
