• The story of the Bible is the story of two cities.
• The city of man.
• The city of God.
• Scripture tells the stories of different cities.
• The city of Enoch, Genesis 4:16-17
• The city of Babel, Genesis 11:2-4
• The city of Sodom, Genesis 13:12-13
• The city of Jerusalem, Genesis 14:18, 1 Chronicles 11:4, 1 Kings
• The city of Babylon, Daniel 4:30
• The city of God, Hebrews 12:22, 13:14, Galatians 4:26
• The last city of man must be destroyed.
• Babylon is full of idolatry, beauty, pleasures, and power.
• Its destiny is destruction.
• Christ will return.
• He will put an end to Babylon and its influence.
• He will put an end to Babylon’s persecution of God’s people.
• All the boasts of Babylon will be destroyed in God’s judgment.
• We live in the city of man.
• We long for the city of God.
• The City of God
