They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
2 Timothy 3:5

In these days when people (2 Timothy 3:1-5):

• Love them themselves and money
• Are boastful and proud
• Scoff at God
• Disobey their parents
• Are ungrateful
• Unloving, and unforgiving, slander and have no self-control
• Betray friends
• Are reckless
• Prideful
• Love pleasure rather than God
• Act religious

It’s easy to get involved in foolish and ignorant arguments that start fights so,

Again, I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.
2 Timothy 2:23

• Be kind to everyone
• Be able to teach – know the truth not to stand in front of a room to teach
• Be patient
• Be gentle in your instruction

Paul sounds lonely.

Timothy, please come as soon as you can. Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus has gone to Dalmatia
2 Timothy 4:9-10

Respond appropriately to people like that. They need Jesus. He wants to save to save them.

This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
