Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
1 Timothy 1:19
How do I become spiritually shipwrecked?
- Unsure of my salvation.
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
John 6:37 (ESV) - Unbelief in ways of God.
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Mark 9:24 (ESV) - Unconfident of the Word.
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Ephesians 4:14 (NLT)
Holding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith.
1 Timothy 1:19 (AMP)
What do I do when I become shipwrecked?
Call to Him to rescue you, after all:
- Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.
Isaiah 59:1 (NASB 1995) - The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”
Matthew 8:27 - And in the fourth watch of the night, He came to them, walking on the sea.
Matthew 14:25 (ESV)
The 411 (information) on who were Hymenaeus and Alexander.
Just ask Him to rescue me. I’m not too far that He can’t reach me.
