His Word gives life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD!'”
Ezekiel 37:4

Ezekiel 37:10

• The reviving of the dry bones signified God’s plan for Israel’s future national restoration.
• Shows Israel’s new life depends on God’s power not the circumstances of the people.
• God will restore them both physically but also spiritually.
• This is a future prophecy to occur when God re-gathers believing Israelites to the land Christ returns to establish His Millennial Kingdom.

What is the process of bones becoming dry?

• Obviously, death occurs.
• Animal is exposed to the harsh elements
  (could take 1-2 years for the tissue to weather away).
• The insects get in and out through the same small channels blood flowed.
• Essentially, the animal goes from inherent (living) to inert (not living).

From inherent to inert

• Inherent: existing as an inseparable part;
• Inert: having no inherent power of action, motion, or resistance

How did they become dry?

• Disobedience
• Idolatry
• Pride
• Ignored warnings
• “I’m in charge.”

It’s possible to go from inherent to inert spiritually, in a short time.

We have to constantly ask these questions of ourselves?

• Am I existing as an inseparable part of the One in whom all power and life is found?
  Or
• Am I existing separated from the One in whom all power and life is found, living my life my own way on my own terms?

The bad news: If you can’t answer yes, to first question, it’s likely you are in the 1–2-year process of becoming spiritually inert.

The good news: If you can’t answer yes to the first question, you’ve got access to the Living Water of Jesus Christ, and only

• God’s power,
• God’s Word,
• God’s Spirit

can keep someone from being a dried-up pile of spiritual bones.

Son of man, mourn for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and give him this message.

Why mourn for Pharaoh?

Do all things necessary to stay inseparable from the One who has the power to give and sustain life.
