My Takeaways

Something Old

Tsaddı̂yq (tsad-deek): righteous (as justified and vindicated by God)

The Lord’s

  • Eyes watch over those who do right.
  • Ears are open the cries of those who do right.
  • Ears hear when His people call to Him for Help.
  • Face turns away from those who do evil.
  • Heart is close to those who are brokenhearted.
  • Arms rescue those crushed in spirit and in trouble each time.
  • Authority protects those who are righteous.
  • Spirit redeems those who serve Him.

Something New

God detained Doeg.

Now Doeg the Edomite, Saul’s chief herdsman, was there that day, having been detained before the LORD.
1 Samuel 21:7

Something To Do

Praise God that I am counted among the righteous. Oh, the benefits of the righteous!
